Information on applications for international students at each vocational school
Enrollment from within Japan:
Those who live in Japan with the status of residence of the Japanese language school as a student, permanent resident, spouse, etc.
Enrollment from outside Japan:
Those whose status of residence in Japan is expected to be a student.

Application Requirements for All Categories | Those who meet all of the following conditions (1) to (3) (1) Those who have a nationality other than Japan, are 18 years of age or older, and have completed 12 years or more of formal school education in their home country or abroad. Or, take preparatory courses or educational programs at a designated educational institution to prepare for admission to a university, etc. Those who have also completed 12 years or more of school education *If you have less than 12 years of formal school education, please contact us. (2) Those who meet any of the following conditions ① to ⑤ and have the Japanese language ability to understand classes at a vocational school. ① Those who are enrolled in a long-term course of 1 year or more (as of the year of enrollment) at a Japanese language educational institution in Japan and have received 760 hours or more of Japanese language education. (Pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act) ② Those who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 (formerly level 1) or N2 (formerly level 2) ③Those who obtained 200 points or more in the Japanese subjects of the EJU (EJU) *Total score for listening comprehension, listening comprehension, and reading comprehension. ④Those who obtained a score of 400 or more on the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test ⑤ Those who have received education for one year or more at an educational institution in Japan at a school (excluding kindergartens) stipulated in Article 1 of the Japanese School Education Act. (3) Those who are enrolled in a Japanese language school (including a Japanese language course at a university) or vocational school in Japan, attendance rate (time rate) must be 80% or higher. |
About the flow from application to admission

Submission of application documents
(From September 1st)Please prepare the necessary documents, scan them, and send them to each school by email. The e-mail address of each school can be found in the application guidelines for international students and the admission guide.

Exam
Screening will be conducted based on the submitted documents.
After passing the document screening, a Japanese written test and an interview will be conducted. -
Bring or mail the original application documents
(until the end of November)In order to apply for a Certificate of Eligibility and complete admission procedures, successful applicants must mail the original application documents to each school.
Please check the "Campus List" page for the mailing address of each school. -
Admission procedure
(Enrollment fee payment)Notification of acceptance and guidance on admission procedures will be sent within approximately two weeks from the date of the interview.
- If any application documents are missing, we will notify you after submitting the missing documents.
Successful applicants are required to pay the entrance fee. - Procedure period: Within 3 weeks from the date of passing

Application for Certificate of Eligibility
(mid-December)The school will apply for a Certificate of Eligibility for “Student” to the Immigration Bureau.

Entrance Ceremony/International Student Orientation
The entrance ceremony is scheduled for early April.
