Tokyo Business Academy (School name changed from vocational school Tokyo School of Business in April 2024) | | | Rontech Co., Ltd.

I want to become capable of teaching various people about IT.

Why did you choose this industry?

In my home country Nepal, I had the opportunity to learn about computers for three months before starting high school. During that time, I felt the excitement and potential of IT, and I developed a strong admiration for it. I became determined to pursue a career in IT because I wanted to learn more about general computer skills and IT programming.

Why did you choose Tokyo Business Academy (name changed from vocational school Tokyo School of Business in April 2024)?

After graduating from high school, I came to Japan and studied at a Japanese language school. When I asked one of my teachers at the Japanese language school if there was a good vocational school where I could study IT, they introduced me to the Tokyo Business Academy. During their open campus events, they provided detailed explanations about how to study IT, support for international students, Japanese language education, and business Japanese. As I continued to participate in their pre-entry classes each month, I had the opportunity to learn more about the Tokyo Business Academy, and I ultimately decided to enroll, thinking, "Tokyo Business Academy is the school I've been looking for!"

What are you learning at Tokyo Business Academy (changed name from Tokyo School of Business in April 2024)?

In my first year, I studied Python, PHP, Word, Excel, and IT Passport, among other subjects. In my second year, I started studying Java, JavaScript, databases, and more. It was initially challenging because I took classes with Japanese students, and their Japanese was very fast. However, as I became more accustomed to it, my Japanese language skills improved significantly, and I also made friends with my Japanese classmates! In addition, I am studying communication, business Japanese, and business etiquette, among other things.

What is your favorite class? Please also provide the reasons.

I really like the "System Development" class. It's not just a classroom study but a class where we collaborate with companies to work on actual projects. It allows us to experience the process of building a job that we will be doing after graduation, so it's an enlightening class that enhances our understanding.

Please tell us your most memorable experience in school life.

It's the "Sports Festival." Everyone, Japanese and international students from all departments, participated, and it was a lot of fun. It served as a break from the daily studying routine. There were many different sports, and I participated in all of them! It was so much fun... very, very enjoyable! It made me want to work hard in my classes again starting tomorrow!

Please tell us your future dreams and goals.

I have received a job offer as a system engineer and programmer in Japan at an early stage. It's all thanks to the support from teachers who are knowledgeable about IT employment, as well as teachers providing support for international students and my class teacher. As I move on to becoming a working professional in Japan, I aspire to become the best programmer with a strong IT skillset. I would be happy if I could eventually teach others about IT in various ways.

If you participate in the school's open campus events early, you can better prepare for your future education, so it's a good idea to consult with the school at an early stage.

Consultation is available!
